Half Term Fun at The Castle
We have a number of free events this February Half-Term. Starting on Friday 7th Feb, you can take part in the Gurney Explorer Trail, collect a free activity sheet from the Cafe and hunt the museum for Gurney. You find him hiding in every nook and cranny. He holds a number of letters that you need to arrange to make a word. Once you have discovered it, revisit the cafe for a free sticker! The trail is open every day from 10am until its last day on Sunday 23rd Feb.
You can also come along to our free ‘Victorian Games’ session on Tuesday 18th Feb and Thursday 20th Feb from 11am until 12pm. Discover some fun games such as yo-yos, jacks, diablos, spinning topsn and more with our volunteer, Janie. No booking required, just pop along to The Storm Tower Room on the ground floor.
We have a special guest with us on Tuesday 18th Feb. Join well-loved children’s author, Naomi Jones as she reads ‘The Odd Fish’ in The Blanchminster Gallery from 11am until 11:45am. Tickets are free but need to be booked online at: https://wegottickets.com/event/646380
Everyday you can also take part in the Fossil Fish Trail to find out some fascinating facts around the Museum. No activity sheet needed, just come along and find them whilst you browse the exhibitions. Free entry and open seven days a week from 10am.
We look forward to seeing you here. For more details of events, visit our online calendar:
