Winter Programme
Here at The Heritage Centre, we are celebrating the seasons by inviting you and your family to enjoy a whole host of free activities.
Funded by Bude-Stratton Town Council, we have lots of activities for you to enjoy. Our programme is open to the public, seven days a week, all year through.

Free Acoustic, Coffee and Cake
Free Board Games at The Castle
Starting 18 January and every Saturday until the end of March, Café Limelight will be offering a selection of games to be enjoyed alongside your coffee, cake and lunches.
Open from 10am, we have games that the whole family can enjoy! What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon in the colder months.
Please note that as this event is due to take place in The Willoughby Gallery, it is a dog-free zone (except for coated assistance dogs).

Macrame 'Tree of Life' Workshop
FREE Gurney Explorer Trail
Every School Holiday and Half- Term you can join in on our Heritage Detective activities and become a ‘Gurney Explorer’. Pick up your FREE Gurney Explorer Activity Sheet from Cafe Limelight on the first floor at The Castle. Search The Castle and see if you can find him with a secret letter. Collect all the letters and spell our secret word. Don’t forget to pop back up to the Cafe for your free sticker.
The Gurney Explorer activity is open all day, everyday during School Holidays and Half-Term days.
📌 The next Gurney Explorer is from Friday 7th February until the end of the day on Sunday 23rd February. Opening at 10am everyday until closing around 3.30pm.

FREE Victorian Games with Janie
Join us this February half term for some fun with Heritage Games with Janie in The Storm Tower Room on the ground floor.
We’ve got marbles, spinning tops, yo-yo’s, jacks and diablo’s for you to play with, so why not join Janie in The Storm Tower Room on the ground floor on Tuesday 18th and Thursday 20th February from 11am until 12pm.

Naomi Jones and 'The Odd Fish'
Join award winning children’s author Naomi Jones as she shares her book The Odd Fish in this fun, interactive event. As well as reading her story there will be games, a draw-a-long, craft activities and the chance to learn all about plastic in the ocean. Free Fossil Fish Trail
Look out for our resident Fossil Fish awesome twosome: ‘Neet and Strat’. These two have some fascinating facts to tell you about our Heritage and even has some tasks for you to complete.
